44th THROUGH 51st Day

Miles had worked on the Same story THE CAT IN THE HAT by Dr. Suess..and Now he loves it..Before we started reading the same story everyday..Miles didn't want to listen..Now he sits and listens to this story..which makes transitioning into other subjects much easier..for Now..I think I want to stick with Literature..since his language and speech needs so much help..

42nd and 43rd Day of Homeschool

Miles recieved an Ipod touch...and loves it so much..Miles has never taken to anything other than the computer..but he absolutely loves the Ipod touch..I was able to download some of his sight words games and math games on the Ipod touch

41st Day of Homeschool

Today Miles worked on his Speech and Language...all throughout the month of September Focus will be on Miles's Speech and Language skills..

22nd day of homeschool....

Today Miles worked on Speech and Language...and worked on the IPAD 2 sight words activities...Miles also worked on the http://www.starfall.com/ ...matching sight words, words to their pictures, vowels paired together..example words, like beach seal , pail, boat, soap....placed missing letters in the right place to make words, and USA MAP JIGSAW GAME MATHING shapes of states to their shapes on the maps.... http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/

20TH DAY OF HOMESCHOOL

Today is the 20th day of Homeschool...we will start this Monday off doing some math problems...Then Get back into our speech and language exercises. Today homeschool was very productive..Miles work without any problems..on the computer and the ipad

18TH DAY OF HOMESCHOOL.....

Today Miles will be continuing with his speech exercises...I feel like he's making a lot of progress...after about an hour of doing flash cards and mouth exercises...he starts to get frustrated..but I can tell it's working..

17th Day...

Today is the 17th day of homeschool...Miles will be  doing his speech flash cards..and his sight words...He will also do a geography puzzle on line..and simple addition and subtraction....

Today is the 11th day of home school..and I have spent the better part of the morning on the phone with Social Security...trying to understand why my son is not receiving his benefits..after all autism is a disability and having extra money to get Miles things to assist with his learning would be beneficial..But I learn that SSI  is based on the parents income..not the child's disability.. Anyway today I will have Miles listening to books on the Nook Color and doing apps..on the Ipad 2

10th Day

Today was Miles 10th day of homeschool and he just listened to two AudioBooks on the NookColor. Tomorrow is Saturday and it will be a homeschool day for Miles

9TH DAY OF HOMESCHOOL..

Today Miles will be doing SPEECH THERAPY FLASHCARDS...and A little simple addition and sight words matching..and Listening to anybook of his choice on the NOOK COLOR...

8TH DAY OF HOMESCHOOL

Today  is the 8th day of Home school Language Arts Day..Miles will be working on making words by adding letters...and matching sight words  www.starfall.com ..and Listening to Stories on THE NOOK COLOR AND working on the IPAD 2 Doing spelling Activities

7th day MATH DAY

Today is Math Day...and the 7th day of homeschool..Miles really likes Math if I had to  pick his favorite subject...Today he is doing simple addition equations and doing quite well..100% accuracy

2ND WEEK OF HOMESCHOOL...6TH DAY

Today is Miles 6th Day of homeschool..and today was an easy ready day..I read the book..LIBRARY MOUSE BY Daniel Kirk.. to Miles..and he listened to several books on the NOOK COLOR READING DEVICE..GREEN EGGS AND HAM, THE BIG BRAGG, SNEETCHES ON THE BEACHES, MRS. BROOKS LOVE BOOKS, and I SAW AND ANT ON THE RAILROAD TRACK..

3rd day of Homeschool

Today is Miles 3rd day of Homeschool...and My husband and I think we need to concentrate on Miles Developing Language..Miles is 8 years old and still has limited language..he points and grunts..Even though when asked to say a word or the word to whatever he's pointing to he can clearly pronounce it..Trying to get Miles to Consistently use his word...Today Homeschool Started at 8:06-homeschool will end at 10:06..I will not homeschool Miles more than 2 hours a day..After 2 hours Miles gets really aggraviated..

2nd day of homeschool

Math day today and Geography. Miles did simple addition problems on the IPAD 2...and Matching states to their shape on an online Geopgraphy Game...still need to purchase Miles a Globe

FIRST DAY OF HOMESCHOOL..

Today is officially the first day of homeschool for Miles...It is 7:30 am and Miles is still sleeping..He woke up at 4am just morning and never got out of bed..but his eyes were wide open..I knew it would be like this when I saw that he was up so Early...This is OFFICALLY the start of my 3rd year Homeschooling Miles and I really hope it's more productive than the previous 2 years..which were very tough because I'm still trying to figure out what's the best way for Miles to learn..I  still think I can teach him better than any teacher..because I truly Love him so and want more than anything for him to have a productive life..
   I think this year I'm going to teach one subject a day..I really want to focus on his language once again..like I did last year..Today will be a reading day...Even though we will do daily reading...Reading day will consist of working on sight words...and phonics
